Mira Oelmayer
Areas of work at the SHRI
The Researcher is part of the Research team. She contributes to one thematic area and several priority projects of the Swiss Human Rights Institution (SHRI). The aim of the research is to support concrete political, legal and societal action to strengthen the protection of human rights in Switzerland.
Education and experience
Mira Oelmayer (she/her) is a lawyer. She holds a Master's degree in International and European Law (France) and an LL.M. in International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights (Switzerland). In September 2025, she joined the Institution as a Legal Intern and has been a Research Associate since June 2026. She works on the thematic area "Outsourcing Responsibility for Human Rights" and is covering for Judith Kopp during her maternity leave.
In the past, she worked as a Research Associate at a law firm specialising in migration law. She was also actively involved with Amnesty International.
