On 27 March 2025, the SHRI will launch on this very page a comprehensive information portal on this topic. 

What can be found on the information portal?

The information portal is designed to be a democratic knowledge hub, where both experts and non-experts can find answers to their questions about the state of human rights in Switzerland.

It includes, among other things, introductory texts on human rights, relevant national legislation and international conventions, as well as topic-related case law. It also provides information on the conventions ratified by Switzerland and the international and European bodies responsible for their implementation.

A collaborative effort

Before the creation of the SHRI in 2023, the non-governmental organization humanrights.ch managed a similar information portal for many years, thus ensuring a crucial information service. The portal launched today is largely based on the work carried out before 2023 and was developed in close collaboration with humanrights.ch. The SHRI sincerely thanks humanrights.ch for its valuable support.
